RMEA Guppy Team Info
2026 Guppy Team Supports
The Guppy Coordinators for 2026 are Shelby Livingston and Emily Niedrach. The Guppy Head Coach for 2026 is Reagan Dawson.
The Guppy Coordinators are your main points of contact for any questions related to volunteering at Guppy Meets, Guppy social events, general Guppy team questions. They are parent volunteers responsible for scheduling the Guppy Swim Meets, communicating with Guppy parents throughout the season, and coordinating volunteers at Guppy Meets and other team events.
Coach Reagan is your main point of contact for questions related to swimming and stroke technique. She will plan and lead Guppy Practice each day. She will be joined by the Big Team coaches and Guppy Helpers (volunteers from Big Team) who will be in the water with our Guppies ensuring their safety and supporting their development in the water.
Volunteer Opportunities
Guppy Meets aren't possible without the help of parent volunteers! We need every Guppy Family to sign up to volunteer in some way at the Guppy Meets each week. To sign up to volunteer (and to sign your child up to swim), follow the instructions at the bottom of this page. You can volunteer for any of the following "on deck" positions: Timer and Lane Coordinator. We also need volunteers to bring snacks and drinks for each meet. Here are the definitions of the volunteer roles needed:
- Timers (4) from our team are needed for each meet. A stopwatch will be provided for you. You will be assigned to a lane to time the swimmers (your child(ren) will be swimming in your lane). After each race, you will fill out the swimmer's name, date, event and time on the back of the team ribbon. Swimmers will receive their ribbons during the snack time immediately following the meet.
- Lane Coordinators (6) from our team are needed for each meet. You will be given a list of swimmers for your lane (your child(ren) will be in your lane). You are responsible for keeping your assigned swimmers together at your lane and that they swim in the order listed. This is so the timers can write down the correct information on their ribbons after each race.
- Snack (1) and Drink (1) Volunteers from our team are needed for each meet. At the end of each meet, our Guppy team celebrates together with a snack and a drink! You will need to provide snacks / drinks for all of our Guppy swimmers for each meet. In the past, volunteers have brought crackers, cookies, fresh fruit or fruit snacks to eat and juice boxes or bottled water to drink. It is up to you!
- Additional Role (coach selected) The guppy Starter is responsible for starting the races (swimmers take your mark, ...blow whistle). The starter needs to start the races efficiently so the meet runs smoothly and timely. Coaches will fill this role.
How to Sign Up for Meets and Volunteering
Guppies will use our team's Swimtopia software to RSVP for meets and to sign up for volunteer roles. This is similar to how the "Big Team" does it, but not exactly the same.
How to Sign up / RSVP for Guppy Meets and Volunteer Positions
